Kai vom Hoff (52) MBA, is Managing Director of vom Hoff Kommunikation GmbH, Düsseldorf, which was founded by Werner vom Hoff in 1970.
After an internship in 1986-87, Kai enrolled at university to do an MBA in economics. During his time as a student he worked as PR consultant at a pharmaceutical research company and at an international industrial equipment manufacturing company.
In the early 1990s Kai joined the agency owned by his father – a pioneer in German public relations. He started out there as consultant. In the mid-1990s, he was appointed as director with responsibility for corporate development and, since 2002, Kai has been the agency’s sole shareholder.
Kai mainly specialises in corporate positioning strategies and management coaching. He is also a consultant to associations, government ministries and corporate enterprises, providing advice and support to them in business-critical situations.
He regularly speaks in public on contemporary issues and the role of communications in our society, and his current affairs articles are published in the newspapers and economic media. For a decade now, Kai has been an economics masters programme lecturer at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. He also spent many years as a member of the supervisory board of a stock exchange-listed company.
Kai vom Hoff is a member of the German Public Relations Association, the German Journalists Association and the Industrie-Club Düsseldorf. He was also a founding member of the Zukunft durch Industrie e.V. association.
